I drove nearly 2000 kilometres to try and improve my photos of these gorgeous little parrots. I am happy that I was successful. I was hiking slowly and noticed this bird flush up from the ground. Thankfully it sat looking at me giving me time to snap a few photos before it decided it had seen enough and flew off. Meanwhile I was doing a happy dance in the middle of the forest!
